The London Years is series of photographs was taken during my time living in London, England, over the course of four years. Shot on a disposable film camera, the images capture intimate moments and candid encounters drawn from everyday life. The limitations of the camera, its grain, flash, and unpredictability mirror the fleeting nature of the experiences themselves.

The photographs act as visual snapshots of friendships formed during this period: nights out, days spent at the lake, moments of play in the snow, and quiet in-between times. These are not staged scenes, but fragments of shared time, recorded instinctively and without polish. The disposable camera becomes both a witness and a diary, preserving moments that might otherwise fade into memory.

Together, the images reflect a sense of transience and belonging. Finding connection in a place that was once unfamiliar. Rather than documenting a city, the work focuses on the people who shaped my experience of it, tracing how relationships, moments, and environments intertwine to form a personal archive of living abroad.
